15 – THE CRANE .™ Its minimal lines and “retro” appearance makes the Crane one of our most unique and creative fan designs. It possesses an airy, almost transparent feeling but like other Woolen Mill fans it is well constructed with only real materials and modern bearings that will last for decades to come. The Crane can be built in iron, bronze or a mixture. The flat black painted model fan blades are built with 5 ft diameter sapele wood while the iron patina and solid bronze fan blades are fashioned from solid mahogany. A 1-inch wide flat belt or a round leather belt can power the fan. Both the round belt pulleys and the flat pulleys are 6-inch in diameter. The black painted models cannot be customized. The blades can be tilted to regulate or change the airflow. This fan attaches to its own metal disk but you can add a 15in wooden disk to visually frame it from the ceiling.
